‘‘Our body is made for movement. It’s what it needs”
In naturopathy, the pursuit of balance is central. Consider, for example, the balance between energy supply (nutrition) and energy consumption (exercise). The balance between activity and rest is very crucial.
Then it is about our endocrine system.
There are two important glands in our brain that control our body and mind – the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus. They produce the hormones noradrenaline and adrenaline – they act as the accelerator and the brakes, so to speak. As humans, we need both. The Innersense therefor offers additional forms of movement that coordinate on a different level and is even better than possible like regular movement.
Another way of mindful movement is yoga. In India it has been known for centuries that the combination of adopting certain movements has a balancing effect on our endocrine system. In combination with the correct form of breathing, this promotes a balance between body and mind.
